Default Heathrow Air Link

The future of Jersey's Heathrow air link should become clearer soon.

The route is operated by BMI under a secret deal with the States, and the airline's chairman Sir Michael Bishop is visiting the island on Thursday (2nd October).

The island's Economic Development Department say 'the long-term relationship between the Island and BMI' will be the focus of a lunch at the Mayfair Hotel.

The airline's BMI Baby division operates services to the island from four UK airports.

Sir Michael's visit to Jersey follows a personal invitation from long-time friend Maurice Segal, Group Chairman of Modern Hotels.
