Channel Islands Condor Ferries has been sold to an investment bank.

The Condor Group will now be owned by the Macquarie Group which already runs the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company and Wightlink Ferries to the Isle of Wight.
It has infrastructure investments in energy, water, telecommunications and transport sectors around the world.

Condor has five ships which operate from Weymouth, Poole, Portsmouth and St Malo. It has been serving the islands since 1947. The deal is subject to the approval of the Jersey Competition regulatory Authority

Condor has been owned by the royal bank of scotland for the last 3 or 4 years so no differance there! The new owners will only have it a couple of years b4 they sell it 2 the next bank, all for more money, less service and worse staff with less experiance of how the freight service should be run! all in all it is being sold off in a worse position then last time for more!! Funny how business works!!
