Vote Of No Confidence May Remove The Bailiff
Jersey's Bailiff may be about to get dismissed from office if a new proposition gets approved.
Deputy Shona Pitman is launching a vote of no confidence in Sir Philip Bailhache following what she says is insensitivity, a lack of judgement and public anger. It follows not only the outcry following his speech on Liberation Day relating to the child abuse scandal, but also his defence of the decision not to remove a convicted paedophile from the Honorary Police. |
