JERSEY'S HALL OF SHAME!!

These are the who voted for GST and against the delay. Please remember them the next time you have a vote, all of them do not listen to us islanders and this should be thier last term in the house:

Senators Walker,Kinnard,Le Sueur,Routier,Vibert,Ozouf and Perchard, The Constibles of St Ouen, St Peter, Trinity,St Lawrence, Grouville, St Martin and StSaviour. Deputies Huet,Fox,Ryan,de Faye and Mclean (St Helier) Troy and Ferguson (st Brelade),Reed (st Ouen) Egre(StPeter), Le Fondre (St Lawrence0, Pryke (Trinity0, Andrew Lewis(St John), Gorst (St Clement) and Gallichan (St Mary)

These people don't give a S**t what we think!

sorry to repeat this one but taken from the gst thread, jst saves me writing it again.

Or maybe they did listen, but they think they know better than we do? However arrogant that is, it strikes to the heart of the age-old question : should we allow the voters as a whole to make decisions, or elect people who then use their own judgement on the issues? If it's the latter, we're obviously going to end up with situations where the public majority viewpoint might get ignored.
So what's the answer? Is our 'democracy' messed up? What could be better?

Have you considered that these people did listen, to the majority?

Whatever the figure was that signed the petition (and that is open to interpretation), there was still a larger number who didn't sign it. Complain if you will that that's because they couldn't be bothered, but at the end of the day, those purporting to be against GST are the minority.

(Just to set the cat among the pigeons )

Do you disagree just for the sake of it or are you really in favour of this current political shambles?
If its the latter then you are probably a politician trying to hang onto your £40K + per year.

The only straw poll i'll ever be able to take is one from friends & aquaintances etc.

and trust me not one person i have spoken to on the subject is PRO GST....not one.

No amount of political spin (or bullsh*t as it is sometimes referred to) is going to change their or my opinion....black hole my r*ngpiece!
