Very few turned up I suspect, otherwise we would have been reading about it in a carefully crafted article on another forum

The fact is that if something like this is organised at a lunchtime in the Royal Square (like the vigil / protest thing) the majority of people there will just be passers-by or shoppers who wander over to see who's making the noise, before moving on. Its an easy way to give the appearance of a lot of people turning up, and does not IMHO accurately reflect public opinion. Even then Royal Square event last week was poorly attended as a "political protest".

It is the meetings that are organised to take place in the sticks (like Havre des Pas for instance) that do accurately portray the true picture.... because they will be attended by those who really can be bothered. Despite all the noise being made for Walker to resign (by a relative hard core few dare i guess) it wouldn't surprise me if the overwhelming majority of people are happy.

Oops, sorry. Did it sound like I was defending Frank in that last post. That wasn't my intention.

Frank Walker today announced that the Jersey flag should be changed to a CONDOM as it more accurately reflects the states political stance. A condom allows for inflation, halts production, destroys the next generation, protects a bunch of *****s and gives you a sense of security while you are being screwed.

Listen to kids in the States Chamber question Frank:
BBC - Jersey - Inside the States - The kids are in charge

Nice to see he admits he couldn't handle a Paxman interview. Doesn't the island deserve a chief minister who can?!

The Jersey skull fragment, the police, and the facts which turned out not to be true

The skull fragment found in the Haut de la Garenne children’s home has always been the most important piece of evidence in the investigation. But some of the facts given to the press about it by the police were untrue. RICHARD WEBSTER conducts his own inquiry during which he speaks to the scientist who carried out the carbon dating of the fragment...
