Default Bank of Ireland To Close Guernsey Office
Guernsey's banking industry has again been hit hard by the global credit crunch.

The Bank of Ireland have announced they're closing the Guernsey office in just over two weeks on the 11th March.

The closure will mean redundancy for around ten islanders, who were given a month's notice.

Is this going to get worse?

The start of many down sizing operations as the depression starts to bite in the good old sunny Channel Islands. Nevermind we can all go back to farming and scavaging the sea shore can't we?

I should probably have added that I don't have any cash

Mind you our place is pretty well booby trapped given that we are redecorating at the mo!
