Last year I worked at Elizabeth Castle ... On the back wall in the clear sand I saw loads of Bass, the guardian of the Castle taught me to lay some cat gut with several hooks distanced apart, and leave it for the incomming and out going tide, does that make sence?.

Yes that makes sence but i enjoy catching them on a rod, that takes the art of fishing away. Did you ever catch any?

Have done a little Bass fishing from the boat during the week. I only managed to land two, both around the 2lb mark, very poor.

Plenty of Pollack, Mackerel and snipe oh! and dolphins just east north east of Demi Des Pas. Anybody else been out recently?

I was out at the weekend and much the same, still mackerel and snipe but not many bass

Hi all mackeral mills and myself are coming to jersey again Oct 27th are the mackeral still around then or will we be to late

I had a few mackeral and a couple of snipe at the weekend you might be lucky if the weather stays mild.

Got some photos of two guys in Kyaks bringing in some nice BIG Bass from between Seymore tower and La Rocque slip area last week, they were using plastic fish lures, one chap had a plastic tank with seawater to keep them all live.
