Sno lands at Ajax

Sno: Heading back to Holland

Evander Sno has left Celtic to join Dutch giants Ajax.

The 21-year-old has returned to Holland after failing to establish himself at Parkhead during his two seasons in Glasgow.

Sno joined Celtic from Feyenoord, but struggled to hold down a regular place in Gordon Strachan's starting XI.

The defensive midfielder, who represented Holland at the Olympics, has signed a three-year deal at the Amsterdam ArenA.

Sno made 49 appearances for Celtic scoring one goal during his time at Parkhead.

The Dutchman is looking forward to returning to Ajax after coming through the club's famed youth academy.

"I played soccer in the youth team at Ajax," Sno told the club's official website.

Beautiful
"It is beautiful that I am here now. I expect three beautiful years here with good football.

"I know a large part of the team still - Urby Emanuelson and Kenneth Vermeer among others.

"I want a place in the midfield, either in the holding role or trying to move forwards."

Thank F***!
This plonker had the turning circle of the QE2!
Well rid...

Maloney seals Celtic return
Forward signs four-year deal at Parkhead

Celtic have completed the signing of former star Shaun Maloney from Aston Villa.

A return to Parkhead for Maloney has been mooted for some time and now the Scottish international has signed a four-year deal with the club.

The 25-year-old, who left Celtic to join Villa in January 2007, struggled to hold down a regular place in Martin O'Neill's side and never really settled in England.

Celtic have moved to offer the skilful attacker a quick return to Glasgow and he becomes Celtic's fifth signing of the summer.

Maloney could go straight into the squad for Saturday's home clash with Falkirk.

Be afraid James, be very afraid...
