Default Liverpool 2 - Villa 2

I watched this game lastnight, what a cracking game but i now think Liverpool are in danger of missing out on the European Cup places, Villa are starting to look like a decent team under Martin O'Neil

Didn't you think Villa were very very lucky to get anything from the game?

It's difficult for me to comment without looking like im blinkered by my support for Liverpool but I honestly believe there isn't that much between Liverpool and the top 3.
We have battered about 6 of the teams we have drawn with this season (I mean battered as in about 20 decent chances on goal to the other teams maybe 2) We have a lot of turmoil going on behind the scenes and have had about 6 players breaking bones.
I honestly believe that Liverpool can close the gap on the top 3 to a reasonable level...maybe 5 to 7 points behind and will leave the other teams like Everton, Man City and Villa to fight it out for the EUFA Cup places.
Liverpool will sort out the mess behind the scenes and there luck will change in front of goal. Mark my words and pull me up if im proved wrong.
Time will tell I guess !!

I think the problem with Liverpool (whom i respect the football club) is behind closed doors! it appears to me that all these people buying football clubs for a hobby is messing with OUR game. not good, not funny, not clever. We have a good league but how many prats see it as an easy money maker without having the passion, the history, the care of the clubs involved..........

I'd say Abramovitch has bought Chelsea as a hobby but the two Yanks have bought Liverpool to make money.

I think Villa were very lucky to get a draw and i hope you are right Griff about Liverpool getting it together, I just think now 6 home games drawn is just not good enough to win anything or even to get in the Champions League places

The home records of the other teams challenging for 4th place aren't any better though.
Man City's home record was good untill about a month ago but they aren't really doing enough away from home.
I don't think Liverpool will win the league but I do think they will qualify for the Champions League without too much of a problem.
The off field problems look like they are starting to sort themselves out a bit now.
Lets look at it again in a month or so.

It does look like the owners have got their act together, hopefully that will settle the team down a bit, i worry about Spurs nicking that 4th place though, they are starting to look like a decent team.
