Default Signature, Jersey.

Anyone heard anything yet? I haven't been yet but some of my work colleagues had a meeting/dinner there and apparently the food was terrible.

Out the four meals served only one was properly heated and edible, even after the other food was sent back it came back still not up to a great standard.

Doesn't sound good for a newly opened restaurant, however I'll reserve final judgement till I've heard a few more reports...

Yeah, I used to really like City a while back. The whole nostalgia kick was kind of why I was hoping this place doesn't go t**s up before it's even off the starting blocks...

Every good restaurant is only as good as the chef, i know the owner of Signature has also got the Sports Bar. I really hope they have kept their Chef in Signature. The City Bar was top class food, we can forgive some teething problems but not for too long

I was there the other night for my sisters birthday. I wouldn't say the food was bad, but wasn't anything to rave on.. Also, we were told we had to order off the set menu because there were more than 8 of us.. a bit disappointing as there wasn't much of a selection on there!!

Raspberry and white chocolate cheesecake was good though!!!

Cheesecake does tend to cure all ills!!!

A wee tip - if you find Key Lime Cheesecake on ANY menu have a go....tis the b*ll*cks....

If i were on death row (perhaps for shooting Barry Ferguson?) this would be on my last meal menu...after a good steak of course!

A close friend walked out recently.

The meals were sent back twice.

Not good.

I was in here last Saturday with a few people. We wont be going back. I must admit my meal was ok, but 3 of the others was terrible. I looked like they had just been to Iceland and bought cheap crap. On a plus side the service was good, maybe they should re-open as a cafe instead of trying to be a decent restaurant.

Default Must have changed a bit since!

We went to Signature on a Friday night for mum's birthday.

Have to say, it was fab. Really, really good food - top service (attentive, but not fussy), and the biggest (and best) surprise was the bill, which came in around £30 per head, if memory serves.

Given that we were drinking fairly decent champers all night, I thought that was pretty darned good!
