Question The Inn (Queens Road)

The Inn at Queens road has recently had a bit of a make over, and I must say it is a vast improvement on the old look!
The staff are very friendly, helpful and professional.

Despite the "hip" new look it does seem to attract a lot of, lets say more mature people than younger. I think they were trying to go for a friendly & relaxed atmosphere, but it all seems a bit too stiff for my taste.

The seating arrangements leave a lot to be desired,
The tables are rather close together. (At one point I was sure if I had dropped my bread roll it would have ended up on the lap of the person on the adjacent table.)

The menu is good, but It would be nice to see a few more "home" favourites and basic options for people that may not be so adventurous with their food.

Prices in my opinion are a bit too high for the kind of food they are selling, (But its worth remembering that they try and use local produce whenever they can.)

The food is well presented and the portion sizes seem appropriate for the cost.
My meat was over cooked and extremely under seasoned.

The desert menu is not very stimulating, Just a few basic things to choose from.

After all is said and done I would visit again (But it would not be my first choice.)

Choice 7/10

Presentation 7/10

Service 7/10

Food 6/10

Overall Score 27/40
