I remember a few years ago someone was going to knock the splash down then rebuild. They were told they could not do that as it was classed as a listed building, i think it had something to do with what was under the building. What has changed now?

I see the Nation Trust have gave the Watersplash plans a knock back. They said the Plans for re-developing the Watersplash in Jersey, do not comply with the Island Plan or the St Ouen's Planning Framework.

I saw that to, I myself have moved my stance on this, although i liked what i saw, it is bigger then i thought it was. The Splash does need updating but not to the scale they have put forward. A scaled down version would be much more appropriate for St Ouen.

I'm sure it's a decoy, so that they'll get smaller plans approved easily which would have also got an outcry. Must be - it's WAAAAY too big, what they're after at the moment.
