Default Portlet Inn, Jersey

ONE OF MY FAVOURITE PUBS FOR FOOD, THEY HAVE A GREAT MENU AND PRICES ARE GOOD.

A place for the whole family to enjoy with a fantastic menu available 7 days a week. Fresh fish and a large range of beers, lagers, real ales and wine create a holidaymaker and local hotspot. The extensive gardens and balconies cater for everyone and Pirate Petes adventure playground provide fun for the kids.

Address:
Portlet Hotel Restaurant
La Route de Noirmont
St Brelade

Telephone: 01534 741204

I am sorry to say that the family went up there 2day for lunch and were very disappointed! there has been a change of managment which is not for the best!

1. instead of putting your card behind the bar so that you can pay your bill at the end of your meal, you now have to swipe your card after every purchase.

2. the new managment disrespectful of thier customers.

3. darnd right rude!

I can only hope they hold on to the great staff members they have, cause i for one will not be going back until there is a change of attitude! (tend to go at least 1 a week with parties of 4 to 12!)
Ihave been to the Landmark and that seems now where i shall be going in the future!

I understand i am not the only person to have found this since it re-opened??

The menu has changed, I used to love the curry there, even if it was mild. No more.

Had an "OK" meal there last summer.

It's microwaved La Collette cold store catering stuff is it not??

Like most pub grub.

I like the way the foods is served so quickly it practically gets to the table before you get back to it

You can hear the microwave "ding" if you listen carefully.

Yep, practically everything is pre-cooked and reheated so I've been told by someone who used to work there.
