Default Sound Workshop Music Course

For the second time, the Prince's Trust along with the Youth Service are running a 'Sound Live' workshop in Jersey.

The week-long course will see 30 young people aged between 18 and 25, from the UK and other Channel islands come together for the event.

The main aim is to recruit young people who are currently unemployed. Sound Live is a 6-day residential course which is being held from 9 to 14 March, targeting young people with an interest in music.

People attending the event will learn from professional musicians; receive instrument tuition along with finding out how the music business works - and many other useful industry tips.

If you are interested in music, currently unemployed and aged between 18 and 25 why not contact La Motte Street Youth Centre. The course is open to people both in the UK and the Channel Islands and includes both free food and accommodation.

It's a really good event this, last year they had some seriously good and well connected musicians over from UK. I knew a couple of the lads who went on it, one even played bongoes at a few of our nights, they raved about it (as much as any 18yo raves about anything)

Is there nothing around for the kids under 18? does it not make more sence to get the kids into something like this at an earlier age?
