Dear Site Owner/Aministrator/Moderator,

I joined your site so that I had a right of reply to a defamatory attack on my business , Trek Plus, St. Helier, Jersey, by your poster: MGACOURT.

This poster published this comment on an Outdoors website based in the UK and has pasted the same comments on the Channel Islands site.

Many of his comments are defamatory to both my business and members of my staff and the fact that he has posted on a second, separate site, shows his 'intent' to defame thus attempting to damage my business.

Having taken legal advice overnight I have been advised by my lawyer to give you as owner/moderator of Channel Islands Forum 24 hours to remove the offending thread or I will be forced to take legal action both against MGACOURT and the Channel Islands Forum.

I am sure that you understand the legal implications and the economic ones for business in Jersey, when totally misleading, defamatory and factually inaccurate comments are publicly aired with the express intention by an individual of attempting to directly damage someone's good name and reputation.

It is because I am a fair minded person and sometimes this type of post slips through the Moderator's net, that I am giving the Forum 24 hours to remove the offending thread.

we aim to eventually make donations to a local charity if the site becomes popular enough. None of the sites Admin or Owners are looking to make any profit from it. We are trying to bring together a group of people who have a shared passion and hopefully do a little good in turn.
