Does anyone know when the Aberfeldy Hotel was closed and why? I know there are flats there now (so the land was presumably sold for development) but just wondered what the reasons behind it were?

Hi mate im sure it was shut down due to never being busy, Tourism some time ago started catering for the cup of tea and custard cream brigade and priced the normal holiday maker out the market, they didn’t want any young holiday makers, a mistake that is still being felt today. A lot of Hotels have closed down since and Jersey as a seasonal destination is no more.
