Default Crash on Beaumont Hill

Did anyone get caught up in the traffic going up to St Peters today? Unbelievable, I was on the Esplanade in traffic when to police cars with sirens blaring came through the traffic followed by an Ambulance then a Fire Engine, two minutes latter a rescue wagon followed by another Fire Engine and a Paramedic. Again after this another 2 Police cars.

I was sitting there thinking oh shit a plane must have come down or something like that, maybe it was a drill at the Airport or something. After about 20 mins I got onto Beaumont Hill, another 10 minutes sitting in traffic we eventually came to where they all were, I could not believe my eyes, a Ford Fiesta was sitting across the road but it looked like nothing was wrong with it, behind that a BMW with front end damage. As I drove by I noticed the BMW must have hit the hire car and knocked the bumper off, there was not a lot of damage.

What is going on with our emergency services? There was no need for all that surely; I bet most of them hadn’t even finished their tea and custard creams before they were rushed out.
