Many people have concluded now that blogs are just being used to try and make a forceful political change (by an incredibly small minority). The reverse is that they don't. I have spoken to people who will vote in favour of the GST 28 after reading them. Even Mike Vibert! May sound crazy to a few but if the blogs come across as over kill to people then they end up going for the devil they know. If people are really determined to make a point clear, it has to be to the point, without ridicule, and preferably in the letter pages of the JEP. I am sure the lesson will be learnt next week.
Forums? I personally do not think they will have much influence either now. They will certainly gain votes for the candidates who will take the gamble and answer questions. But the number of votes this will bring is probably small.
I said a while ago that the final decision will come from the readers of the JEP. The JEP has the biggest control on next week's outcome which is a shame, but such is the Island we live in.
