Default Weather forecasts hopeless these days

All those radars, satellites and computers, and they still get it wrong!
Lately it seems that almost every forecast is way out. They say it'll rain and it stays dry, they say it'll be fine and it *****s down. The five day forecast shows 5 days of black cloud and rain and the next 4 days are dry and quite sunny. Often the 5 day forecast changes dramatically from one day to the next!!
What's the point?!!

If you ever see the six-day forecasts for paid subscribers, they include probabilities in the information. The short summaries just go with the likeliest prospect, without mentioning if it is only a 55% chance.
Statistically, the weather is always significantly more likely to be the same tomorrow as today than to change, so unless you know from the weather map that a new system is blowing our way, just expect more of same.

Another triumph for the met dept.
Lousy Saturday they predicted - black cloud, rain etc.
It's been gloriously sunny non-stop!
