Default Woolworths to close?

The company seems to be in serious difficulties, and I've heard rumours of closure over here.
Does anyone have any info or comments?

It would be a sad end of an era.

I read somewhere that Alan Sugar had bought into Woolworths, well i think it was Alan Sugar, i may be wrong on that. As far as i can remember, it was going to be the end of Woolworths as we know it but not the end of the chain. He has plans to make it bigger than ever.

Hope not. It's the cheapest place (on average) I've found in town for DVDs, Games, etc so far - paid about £9 for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of Crap (DOH - shouldn't have bought it at all to be fair!) on release day.

When the music area was where the tellies are now?
When there was a cafe down the end where the music is now?
Those were the days.....

I remember a mate of mine letting off a stink-bomb in there, jeeeeez did it stink. One of my classmates was working there on a saturday job, his face was absolutely green... LOL
