Default Vegetables in window boxes?

Hello Everybody!

I live in a flat, with the windows facing due north and due south (+/- 5 degrees). I am minded to fix window boxes on both aspects.

Could someone tell me what vegetables could be grown in those boxes, please?

Thanks in advance for your advice!

I would suggest Radishes to start with as they are small and so fast to grow, lettuce takes a while, peas will work, and strawberrys depends how much space you have to grow the bigger vegs like tomatoes
also try herbs like mint & parsley, all can be grown from seed packets cheaply. P.S. its best to grow the stuff you like to eat :-) and keep it watered!

I would suggest growing vegetables such as fast growing rocket, lettuce, radishes, perhaps even a few spring onions and the dwarf variety of french beans. If you want a bit of colour in your south facing windows, tumbler cherry tomatoes should do very well.
