The hotel has a footprint of 200,000 sq ft and features three restaurants, including one that can cater for 400 people.
There are four bars as well as a spa, treatment rooms, gymnasium and a conference centre. The £250,000 kitchens can cater for 800 people at a time and were hailed by Radisson's senior executuve chef as the best he had ever seen.
About 110 staff were ready to greet the first guests after the official opening at 10.30 am.
