Jersey's Boat Show has exceeded all expectations - attracting thousands of visitors.
Traders are reporting substantial interest from potential buyers with some placing orders now to avoid GST which takes effect on Tuesday.
The value of craft on display is around £20m and that alone has been a big draw.
But exhibitors havn't just been welcoming the simply curious aboard. There's been plenty of interest from buyers across all ranges - from small fishing boats to superyachts.
One finance house which has set up shop at the show said the indications for business were good with plenty of people asking, as he put it, all the right questions.
Not only is the show now likely to become a permanent fixture in the annual calendar of events - it could point the way to creation of a new marina in the old harbour.
Planning is at an early stage says Jersey Harbours Chief Executive Howard Le Cornu, but he says early results from the show indicate creation of a new marina is the right way to go.
It seems as though the show could be the first step towards making the harbour area a more vibrant place for visitors and pave the way for a major expansion of the local marine industry.
