You have not Lived if you have not tried Fresh Conger Soup.
You can see the goodness in the Jelly just like Oxtail Soup it sets in its own goodness.
But there are not many of us "Old Chefs" 69 (giggle) left that have the patience to make these delicacies.
If you go along to Hamptonne Museum when it reopens you should be able to indulge in Jersey's old recipes. ?
I used to make fresh Jersey Food daily, but I don't know if they still do?
Jersey Bean Crock with Cabbage Loaf.
Fresh Conger Soup with Marigolds & Cabbage Bread.
I used to make Fresh Jersey Wonders ?
And A Fresh Baked Jersey Ham Stuffed with cloves and topped with Honey Glaze finish.
On Thick Sliced Cabbage Bread with Jersey Butter MMM!!
Bread was Made on Site in the old bakery.
I used to send my Customers off into the Orchard for Picnics,
with an Hamper Pack & Blanket supplied from Cafe?
Enjoy.
